# Eden Legal AI

> Legal intelligence, built for practice. Eden Legal AI is an agentic operating system for litigation: it keeps the whole case in one linked record, checks every authority at its official source, traces every draft back to the evidence, and releases nothing court-facing until a person approves it. It is opening as a private beta; the system behind it is in daily use in its founder's own proceedings.

Founded by Michael Darius Eastwood (https://www.michaeldariuseastwood.com/), who built it while running complex proceedings across several courts himself. It is built on the same system as Eden Research (https://www.edenresearch.ai/) and Eden Control (https://edencontrol.com/): before an AI agent's action runs it is checked against written rules, and each check gives one of three answers, allow, hold for a person, or deny (a register of 1,244 written rules on 14 October 2026, 178 with an automatic check of their own; 4,877 actions held for a person and 968 refused between 5 July and 14 October 2026).

- Statutes are checked at legislation.gov.uk, procedure rules at justice.gov.uk, and judgments at the National Archives' Find Case Law; quotations are compared word for word; what cannot be checked is held back, never guessed.
- Nothing goes to a court or another party without the user's approval; it never files on anyone's behalf; it does not give legal advice.
- For barristers and chambers, solicitors and firms, in-house teams, and people who run their own cases.
- Built around the Civil Procedure Rules, the practice directions on bundles, Practice Direction 1A and the Equality Act 2010, with every evidence file fingerprinted when it enters the record.
